About our community workshops
Our GoodYarn community workshops are clinically designed to help everyday people to better understand mental health, and to know what to say to those around them who are struggling.
The 3 hour workshops are delivered in community settings by peer facilitators - local non-clinical people with lived experience of mental health challenges - who can connect to different cultures, audiences and groups and bring the learning direct to you.
Our approach means more community members can access valuable mental health education, and increase their knowledge and understanding of mental wellbeing to benefit themselves and the wider community of friends, family, whanau and colleagues.

Words From Our Community
"It's never been more important to focus on our mental wellbeing and check in on those around us who might be doing it tough. The GoodYarn workshop gave me simple tools to talk about mental health, to start those often daunting conversations that can really make all the difference."
