Our programmes

Wellbeing isn’t a destination; it’s a journey. It’s about feeling good and functioning well. Every small step counts.

What is the Connect & Thrive: Wellbeing programme?

  • An invitation to check in with yourself

  • A moment to share and connect with others

  • A reminder of mental wellbeing tools you already use

  • A facilitator-led, safe, supportive kōrero (conversation)

  • A practical, interactive, conversational session for all

The programme is run by experienced facilitators in a safe environment.

During the programme, we will . . .

  • Share what ‘wellbeing’ means to each one of us

  • Reflect on how the ‘5 ways to wellbeing’ show up in our lives

  • Practice wellbeing and connection with simple, fun and practical exercises

  • Create a personalised plan for you (and your community) to connect & thrive!

Format:-

  • Presentation - Facilitated conversation + activities

  • Duration - 1.5 hours, plus 0.5 hours for chats

  • Target audience - adults

  • Minimum attendees - 15

  • Ideal group size - 15-20 but negotiable depending on the group

The Migrant Wellbeing Programme was designed in collaboration with migrant community group leaders and members.

The Migrant Wellbeing Programme is about wellbeing, in the framework of culture shock and the unique challenges faced by migrants new to the country. It offers practical resources and tools so that people can proactively look after their own wellbeing, and that of their friends and family.

It is delivered on a digital platform, which empowers community leaders and peers to host and deliver the programme within their own community. It also allows people to anonymously share their stories and experiences as well as in person; and supports participants who are not confident speaking in public.

The Migrant Wellbeing Programme is available free to migrant community groups. Please contact us for more information, or call Niamh 021-173 9690

We look forward to supporting Headlight to deliver ongoing workshops for the migrant/ethnic communities and work closely with migrant leaders to develop and expand their service provision to build resilience and mental wellbeing for the wider migrant community. They have become one of the key organisations to support migrants in the district.
