Queenstown Migrants GoodYarn Workshops
You don’t need to be an expert to talk about mental health!
Come together with your friends and community to learn about how you can support yourself and each other during challenging times!
The mental wellbeing workshops are led by peer facilitators (migrants themselves) who will provide practical tools and advice to help migrants to support their own wellbeing and that of their friends, family and community. Our migrant facilitators understand first-hand the challenges of living away from home and family support, residency issues and the reality of life as a migrant living in Queenstown.
We'll cover the signs and symptoms of mental illness and share with you information about where to go for support if you are worried about someone. You’ll pick up lots of useful tips and information, practice having caring conversations and learn what support is available if more help is needed.
You don't need to be an expert to talk about mental health. But by learning more we can do more to help ourselves and our friends, family and community to stay mentally well and to thrive.
You don't need to bring or prepare anything to participate, just yourself. Food and refreshments provided.
