About Us:

Headlight is a Queenstown based Charitable Trust that is working to empower communities to support their mental wellbeing and the mental wellbeing of those around them. We do this through increasing mental health literacy in communities, with a focus on priority communities that are most vulnerable since COVID and disadvantaged within the current health system. Our team is governed by a board of trustees and operates on a flexible working model, utilising shared co working spaces and remote working to support the work life balance of employees. Our values are:

People first/Manaakitanga

We treat others with care and respect, valuing diversity, prioritising inclusion and hold the principles of equity at our heart and in all that we do.  We value lived-experience, seek to create the feeling of belonging within our team and communities and recognise the inherent value of all individuals to contribute towards our mutual wellbeing.

Think differently

We are innovators, looking for opportunities to improve our impact and approach by actively listening to our community, openly inviting feedback, evaluating our efforts, being resourceful and embracing opportunities to implement positive change.

Move with integrity

We are accountable for our actions, take our responsibilities seriously, embrace authenticity and take pride in our work by setting high standards to ensure quality delivery across all that we do.

Doing with, not to

We work together with one another for one another, respecting the contribution of all other parties, ensuring the voice of our communities and audiences are at the table. We know that together we are stronger and we value the mutuality of real partnership, aspiring to always model the true essence of collaboration in the way that we work.

Enjoy the Journey

We know that the joy is in the journey, and our work is a marathon not a sprint. We invite our staff and partners to enjoy the ride along with us, by consciously creating a culture that promotes collective mental wellbeing, supports personal growth, celebrates successes, values fun and enjoyment, but also gives time for balance, restoration and reflection.
