We design and deliver in-person, workshops that makes mental health education accessible and enjoyable .
Do your need help talking to your clients or community members about mental health?
At Headlight, we specialise in making mental health education accessible for diverse, rural and remote communities. We work with government agencies, businesses, and community-focused organisations to co-create customised mental health education workshops and programmes that are community-led, engaging and effective.
Co-design: the key to engagement
Our team will work closely with you to understand the specific needs of your community group or network to help us make mental health education engaging and accessible. We ask questions such as “What are the language or cultural barriers your group experience?”, “What are they key challenges you face talking about mental health?” By learning more about your community, we can be sure our tailor made programmes are going to be effective for your specific audience or community. We know that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to mental health literacy training.
Innovating for accessibility
Our team utilises an innovative digital platform to make mental health training accessible at scale to multiple audiences. By training ‘hosts’ and utilising digital technology we can empower more organisations to bring mental health education to its members and audiences through existing networks and trusted doorways. This transforms the traditional role of the facilitators and liberates existing organisations to do more to support their people’s mental wellbeing. Together we are re-imagining the way community-education is delivered in New Zealand.
