The Southern Wellbeing Trust invites you to join a free community 2-part workshop, designed to help parents and teachers to talk about mental health and learn steps to protect their mental wellbeing.
The stressors caused by parenting can put enormous pressure on our mental health but by learning how to talk about it you’ll be better prepared to look after your own mental health, and have confidence to support the mental wellbeing of those around you, such as partners, families and other parents.
The 2-part workshop will cover:
What is mental health and how to look after it
What are the signs and symptoms of mental distress
How to talk to someone you are concerned about
What support is available to you
Our workshop facilitators are people from the Queenstown Lakes community who are passionate about supporting mental health and understand the real life challenges families and teachers in our community continue to face.
You’ll pick up lots of useful tips and information, practice having caring conversations and learn what support is available if more help is needed.
The workshop is interactive, enjoyable and you will be provided a take away printed workbook to keep for future reference.
Only 20 spots available. If interested to book please contact Bridget from Gems Childcare Centre or email our team for assistance or further info at workshops@southernwellbeingtrust.org
