We activate the power of lived experience, local knowledge and connection to bring peer delivered programmes to life that promote mental health and wellbeing for all.
Community projects
headlight is bringing GoodYarn workshops to the Whakatipu community from July 2022 onwards.
The GoodYarn programme is on an award-winning, evidence-based mental health education programme that helps people to talk about mental health.
The 3 hour workshops are being delivered in community settings with the Queenstown Lakes District to help everyday people to increase their understanding of mental health and to learn the skills and confidence to talk to someone who is struggling.
Our Impact: The GoodYarn Community Pilot Report
Between April 2021 and June 2022 our team of local faciliators delivered mental health education workshops to over 260 diverse Queenstown community members. You can now read about the impact of the GoodYarn Community workshops, participant feedback and the learnings from the pilot below.
